specific techniques to vitalize certain energy

To increase alertness

To activate this point, simply press the middle of the little ridge of skin that's above the lip and below the nose. Press firmly for a few seconds, then release; repeat six times. Breathe slowly and deeply as you do this. It can be repeated throughout the day for a quick pick-me-up.
Another good marma point is on the right arm. This point is associated with physical stability and overall wellness.

To locate this marma, remove any clothing covering the arm. Find the point halfway up the inside of the arm between the elbow and wrist. Press firmly yet gently on the point with your thumb; you can wrap your other fingers gently behind your arm for support. You'll know when you find the marma point because you may feel a slight throbbing or tingling or a small surge of warmth. Press for a few seconds and release. Repeat six times. This can also be done as often as you like throughout the day.

Injuries

Injury to "Gulpha Marma" at the junction of foot and calf would result in pain, paralysis and lameness. Injury to "Indravasti Marma" which is 12 to 13 fingerbreadths above ankle, in the middle of the calf can cause excessive haemorrhage and even death. `Janu Marma' at the junction of thigh and knee, when injured would result in lameness. "Vitapa Marma" at the junction of scrotum and inguinal region, if injured would cause impotency.
